Pros

The folks in Marketing and Loan Originations are great. There's sometimes free lunches and breakfast. The location is beautiful.

Cons

- Management is sloppy and disorganized - The environment is unfriendly and hostile - The work hours are long - The executive staff does not communicate with the rest of the company and operates in a shroud of secrecy. - Advancement is based on merit or qualification but camaraderie and politics - This is a male dominated company with sexual harassment being the norm and everyone is afraid to say anything - The culture here is utterly horrible

Misery and Chaos Behind the Hype

Pros

Free snacks in the office— (you'll need the sugar rush to survive)

Cons

Expect to work well beyond your supposed hours. Random meetings can pop up on your calendar anywhere from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 'SoFi Fridays' are a myth. Vacations are disregarded, with people constantly reaching out during your time off, because no one seems to know what they’re doing. It's no wonder the average tenure is so short—everyone is overworked, unhappy, and just trying to get by. Sadly, most people here hate their jobs and each other. Don't do it.

Pros

The people Benefits Compensation Free snacks Hybrid schedules

Cons

Management- You will either thrive or fail depending on if your manager likes you or not. Alot of management is fake and pretend to be on your side but will throw you under the bus at any moment. Growth- they promise growth and all these opportunities but it's just a smoke screen to make it seem like you have an opportunity so you stay. Management Fake values- At the end of they day they are a corporate bank. You will always be just another number to them no matter how much they throw around and showcase their values. Prime example is the recent layoffs that happened. No warning and no real empathy given. The leader on the zoom was reading a script and they cut off access within minutes without any management reach out. Training -Complete mess and have trainers who have not even done the actual job they are training on. So if you like being thrown it to fully do your job with a fraction of the knowledge needed to do it. This would be for you. This company used to care but unfortunately you are just a number. The other reviews about management are spot on.

Thank you for the years you dedicated to working at SoFi, and for your thoughtful feedback. We are disappointed that working at SoFi didn't meet your expectations. As you may remember, we have really ambitious goals as a company, one of which is to build a 'worlds' best culture' and we believe that starts with having excellent managers. We have a new formed Talent Development team who's #1 focus this year is on manager enablement so we can continue to develop great leaders. They are creating a thoughtful and comprehensive curriculum to meet managers where they are at so they can lead thriving teams. We're sorry to hear you feel our values are not genuine, we have been very intentional about weaving our values into everything we do - from our onboarding programs, to our value of the month programming, to our performance process, and our recognition tool. We wish you the best in your next endeavor. Thank you again for the time you spent at SoFi, take care.
