Pros

Benefits. You’ll stay for that and nothing else.

Cons

Micromanaged constantly, treated like a toddler. Corporate BS At its finest. Little to no training or support. Most members have noticed that many jobs have been outsourced to other countries. A joke as a bank and employer 👎🏻 Traded my salary and benefits for happiness. Best decision I ever made.

Pros

Remote work was the only good thing. Dread going into office.

Presence of Cliques: Cliques in the office can create a divisive atmosphere, making it difficult for employees to feel included and valued. Management Favoritism: Favoritism from management can lead to unequal opportunities and treatment, causing discontent among employees. Dealing with Customer Complaints: Handling constant customer complaints, especially when you have limited ability to resolve their issues, can be emotionally draining and frustrating. Lack of Support: The lack of effective support from the OMS (Order Management System) team and colleagues can leave employees feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Limited Empowerment: Employees in the origination role may feel disempowered, acting more as a buffer or conduit for other departments rather than having the authority to address customer concerns directly. Lack of Recognition: The feeling that nobody takes you seriously can lead to job dissatisfaction and a lack of motivation to excel in your role. High Turnover Rate: The high turnover rate, as evidenced by the number of colleagues who quit from your training class, indicates that the job may not be fulfilling for many employees. Pressure to Multitask: The expectation to multitask in chats and provide immediate responses can be stressful and challenging for some individuals. Discrepancy in Diversity and Inclusion: Despite SoFi's stated commitment to diversity, the workplace environment may not reflect these values, leading to a perception of inequality. Discontent with Compensation: The reference to upper management "eating well" while lower-level employees face challenges may imply dissatisfaction with compensation and benefits.

We are very sorry to hear your time at SoFi did not meet your expectations. While we're happy you enjoy some of the benefits we offer employees, we are sorry to hear your comments around management. We know that building a best place to work caliber company starts with world-class leadership, that's why our Learning & Development team's #1 focus is on manager excellence. We're continuing to roll out programs to give our managers the training, resources, and tools to best support their teams. Additionally, our Mortgage leadership team is having regular round table discussions with the team to understand concerns, and has action plans in place to address them. Lastly, our MLO leaders are hosting regular events to bring the team together, to help support them and bring some much deserved fun to their day-to-day.
