Pros

Benefits are unbeatable, lower level employees are some of the hardest workers I have ever encountered.

Cons

If you're in Ops and not of the Citi Crew, you'll soon be finding something else to do. Their little clique of abusive leaders is replacing all the levels of leadership and running what was once a magnificent unicorn of a company into the ground.

A beautiful mess, but a mess nonetheless

Pros

Amazing talent. Amazing people. Great employment perks. Noble product. My direct managers were great people and great at their jobs. Didn't have to work past 6 on the regular.

Cons

The entire company is lacking any sort of cohesion or stability. Management still wants to maintain a "startup spirit" and remain "agile", which translates to "we're going to run around like a chicken with its head cut off." People are on completely different pages about almost everything, and there doesn't seem to be one singular vision guiding the company. Instead, everyone involved in upper management has a slightly different idea of what they want SoFi to be, which is bad news. Also the CEO is domineering, obnoxious, and a fervent Trump supporter. Gross.

Pros

If you're a starving student, it's a great place to work. Free lunch/dinner, snacks, etc. The CEO is great, but has nothing to do with day to day work.

Cons

There is no communication between departments, so work is constantly replicated. No one knows what the person sitting next to them does (or even their name), so there's no sense of team. It's depressing. The COO is a complete dictator and has one message: agree with me, or A) leave, or B) you're fired. What a way to run company -- might as well be Shawshank.
