Pros

Semi-flexible schedule, some cool people, meaningful work.

Cons

Inconsistent hours, sometimes as low as 8 hours a week. Rude and uninterested trainers, a competitive environment, and unhelpful peers when you're new. Low pay for the work you'll be doing. Sink or swim, that's probably why they're always hiring.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the work meaningful, appreciated some flexibility in scheduling, and had positive relationships with members of the team. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has also included inconsistent hours, concerns about pay, and feeling unsupported during training and onboarding. No team member should feel like they are left to “sink or swim,” especially in a role that requires strong support, collaboration, and care. We take this feedback seriously. We know that investing in our team members through clearer training, stronger peer support, consistent communication, and sustainable staffing practices is essential to reducing burnout and creating a better experience for both staff and clients. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you experienced Soar as a caring environment. Creating a supportive, mission-driven workplace matters deeply to us. We also recognize that working with young children can come with increased exposure to illness, and we know that can be challenging for team members in center-based roles. We continue to focus on health, safety, cleanliness, and support practices that help protect both our team and the children we serve. We appreciate your feedback about the amount of change as well. As Soar grows, we know it is important to communicate changes clearly, support teams through transitions, and listen when the pace of change feels difficult. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.
