Pros

The RBTs and Clients that work at Soar are fantastic and make your time worth the job.

Cons

Your schedule is not up to you, your hourly pay only coke whole hour with a client. You are not allowed to do extra work to get a full day of hours and pay unless your client cancelled their session an hour before. I did not make a liveable wage here. Break are determined by schedule and other ability to come get your client. I had a 15-20 minute lunch more than once. Bonuses and raises are given to different people in different ways.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate the dedication of our RBTs and the positive impact they have on our clients. Regarding scheduling, we understand how changes and hour fluctuations can be frustrating. Our scheduling needs shift based on client and employee availability, which can create challenges in maintaining consistency. Over the past few months, we’ve been focusing on refining our scheduling processes to reduce these issues and promote greater predictability for our teams. We hope those efforts are making a difference, and your input helps guide us in continuing that progress. In terms of breaks, we want to assure you that we follow Colorado’s labor laws and strive to provide appropriate break times while balancing client care. We also have a standardized assessment and promotion system, where all employees are fairly evaluated. We take these types of concerns from our staff seriously and put meaningful time into gathering feedback and creating systems that support our staff. We value your feedback and remain committed to making Soar a great place to work.

Pros

Loved working with the clients - love the field of ABA therapy

Cons

Teammates are not helpful - BCBAs treat RBTs like they are ignorant when you ask any questions or for help. Disrespectful.

We’re so glad to hear that you loved working with the clients and are passionate about the field of ABA therapy. We’re truly sorry to hear that you felt unsupported by your teammates and BCBAs. At Soar, we strive to foster a collaborative and respectful environment where every team member feels valued. We always encourage open communication, and we urge our teammates to reach out to their local teams or leadership when they need support. Asking questions is an essential part of providing the best care for our clients, and we want all team members to feel comfortable doing so. Pros

Employees are all super nice and working with kids is rewarding

Cons

They don’t pay you if a client calls in sick or shows up late even if you are on time. There are also a lot of day of cancellations that are unpaid. You barely ever get a full 30 minute lunch break and usually have an extra five or ten minutes unpaid before lunch. Also if you don’t finish notes in a session which is really difficult with high maintenance children to write full reports without them hurting themselves or another child, you have to do that in paid on your own time. Pay for everyone starts at 20/hr but with all the unpaid time in the day I haven’t made more than 1000 per two week pay check. You also have to heavily advocate for yourself to get your breaks and prep sessions.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We deeply value your input and recognize the importance of addressing the concerns you've raised. We adhere to Colorado's labor laws regarding breaks and meal periods. However, we understand the challenges that can arise with scheduling and transitions, which may make it difficult for Behavior Technicians to take full breaks. We are actively reviewing our processes to ensure all team members have sufficient and uninterrupted break times. Your feedback helps us prioritize this area for improvement. We also acknowledge that scheduling can be complex due to shifts in client and employee availability, including last-minute callouts. In such cases, we aim to provide coverage sessions or assign other in-center tasks to minimize disruptions. That said, we understand this can feel frustrating and are working to enhance our scheduling systems to promote greater consistency and reduce last-minute changes. We hope these efforts are beginning to address the concerns you've experienced. Writing session notes during therapy is a standard practice across the industry. We know this can be particularly challenging when working with high-needs clients. We are evaluating ways to ensure our team members have the necessary support to complete their notes efficiently and sustainably during their paid time. Additionally, your comments about unpaid time are concerning, and we will review our practices to ensure fairness in compensating our employees for their time and effort. We are committed to continuous improvement and ensuring that all team members feel valued and supported in their roles. Your feedback is an important part of that process, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Thank you for the important work you do every day to make a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
