Pros

Positive, supportive environment, and the clients and families are wonderful.

Cons

Training is rigorous but lots of learning has to happen on the job with limited oversight, can be very challenging. The scheduling can be difficult to get used to as well, can often change day-to-day or week-to-week.

Hi There, Thank you so much for providing this feedback! We are always looking to improve processes to best serve our clients and employees. It is our priority to support our team members to the best of our ability throughout the growth of our company. Our scheduling needs change due to client and employee availability (if either call out sick or are unable to make it to the center that day). We understand these changes can be hard to manage and appreciate your flexibility with this. Thank you again for your hard work and dedication to our clients! Best, Soar Autism Center Hiring Team

Pros

I can't think of any

Cons

-You get 1 week of computer based training, mostly about the company, not so much about interacting with mostly non-verbal, highly challenging behaviored kids -High turnover, less stability for families & kids -Do not ask for help, they do not like vulnerability even though they say they do -After the 1 week of computer training, they put you 1:1 with children, even if you have no experience working with kids (a lot of challenging behavior, changing diapers, etc)

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate all feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our processes and the support we provide to our team members. We’d like to address some of the points you've mentioned: Training: Our training program is actually two weeks in length. While there are computer-based modules, these are supplemented with hands-on training sessions and practice sessions during both the first and second weeks. The program includes 40 hours of online training, which is a required part of preparing Behavior Technicians to become RBTs and have the preparation needed to receive this certification. We did a large revamp of our training program earlier this year, and it is a core part of ensuring team members feel prepared to be successful on the job. Turnover: We recognize that turnover can be challenging in this field. It’s something we are very focused on, and we are actively seeking ways to improve the RBT experience to support better retention and provide more stability for both our staff and the families we serve. Support and Development: At Soar, we encourage open communication and vulnerability when asking for help, and we’re committed to creating an environment where our team feels supported. Your feedback is valuable in helping us identify areas where we can improve to make sure that all staff feel comfortable seeking the assistance they need. We understand that the responsibilities of this role may come quickly, as it involves hands-on experience with children from the start. While we believe that this real-world experience can be beneficial for personal and professional growth, we also want to ensure that all team members feel adequately prepared and supported throughout their journey with us. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors!
