Pros

The best thing about the job was getting paid every two weeks….the money was great.

Cons

I worked for SSA for 14 years. I started off as a technician and worked my way up to management. All my positions were in the Office of Disability Operations or ODO for short and I hated my experience. I dreaded going to work every day. Most of the people were childish, gossipers, and back bitters. I stayed to myself and worked hard.

Pros

Offer heavy training and coaching

Cons

Too many databases to learn, from DOS systems to PC, management wants these calls done quickly. I was hired during covid pandemic, the probation was 1 year and they let me go 3 days before hire. Reason : I was not able to provide disability documentation since most practices were closed or backed up 6-8 months.
