Pros

- Many social events - Many bonuses and perks for selling - Decent benefits program - Base salary is decent - Managers are very understanding and easy to work with

Cons

- Difficult to reach sales targets - Many provided accounts have had bad experiences, and it's up to you to fix it while still trying to close the sale - Management forces/expects that you attend every social (or else it's frowned upon) - Difficult to become part of company (coaches during training are very difficult to work with)

Pros

- great co-workers, after all we are all on the same boat - HR really knows how to hire amazing people, full of potential! -dog friendly -many events and catered food - mostly from vendors -great location for young professionals

Cons

- horrible training managers -low pay vs industry standards - Toronto is the HQ but it's the most disorganized office in all of North America -cut throat environment if you are not favoured by training managers - people fired for no good reason other than personal!!!

Softchoice Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Softchoice aims to provide an excellent onboarding experience for all employees. As you point out, newly hired sales reps attend our Sales Academy, an intensive, three week blended training program. During this time, a team of cross-functional instructors teach new hires a variety of practical sales skills, and explain how Softchoice helps organizations unleash their potential through people and technology to drive real business outcomes. I feel it's important to note that our instructors are highly qualified in their respective areas. Many have years of hands-on experience serving customers and are influential, and well-respected leaders at Softchoice. It’s very disappointing to me that you feel there is favoritism. We pride ourselves on providing an inclusive, accepting work environment. We take this claim very seriously, and I hope you'll follow up with me directly - or our People & Growth team - to ensure we address this immediately. As it relates to compensation, we focus on a total rewards program which includes base salary, bonus, and benefits. While dependent on overall business and individual performance, we also consistently assess market data, and make adjustments where necessary across our entire organization - including sales. Lastly - we recognize Softchoice isn’t for everyone. While our Sales Academy is rigorous, it's also fair. If at any point during Sales Academy, a student doesn't feel connected with the path they're on, we encourage them to have candid conversations with their manager and development coach. Ultimately, we actively encourage sales reps to own the outcome of their learning experience. In fact, graduates of our Sales Academy see success faster and earlier than sales peers who haven't enjoyed the Sales Academy experience. Director Sales Excellence
