Pros

Employees have passion for what they do. Solid benefits. Lots and lots of company events, draws, BBq's, Dunk Tanks, Ping Pong Tables, Softchoice Cares, Collaborative environment. Many, many great managers. Access to great technology. Company is growing and fast. Many employees have been here for 10, 12, and 15 years plus, so very stable environment. Opportunities for advancement and training. Mandatory reviews and IDP's. Good place to start your career or continue one in progress

Cons

Softchoice is going through a large up-tick with hiring and growth. When ever a company does this there are growing pains, which are known and being addressed, but in the meantime, there are some processes that are dated and need updating. Manager training is lacking, but again being addresses with new programs. Salaries are a little under market value, but not totally out of wack. The sales teams are experiencing the largest growth and have the biggest pains, but it you stick it out through the training, you will be set up for great success and growth. Many of the new hires I guess feel entitled and are not willing to put in the time, but once you do the potential for good money is there. The ONL monthly calls are very heavy on numbers and sales and other teams get ignored with their additions to the 'bottom-line' and more employee recognition is needed across non-sales teams.

Pros

very young and energetic environment. Seem to have a lot of activities and perks for younger employees. They have a good 'onboarding' process and invest in training new recruits on Microsoft portfolio.

Cons

The Client Teams are extremely focused on selling and protecting the Microsoft business within their accounts and nothing else. This makes it very difficult for 'Specialists' within the company that are selling other vendor products/solutions (ie. IBM, etc.) to make any traction. So be careful in taking a role that focusing on anything other than Microsoft. Tough hill to climb.

Pros

Lively company with lots of energetic young fresh grads coming out of school looking to start their careers. Easy going culture, get the work done, help the company grow and no one bothers you. Free food most days. Beer carts every month. Virtually no overtime/extra hours needed, the workload is minimal.

Cons

Location/Traffic/Parking (take public transit if possible), below average pay for experienced professionals, ongoing technical training is limited/hard to come by, duplicated telephony systems (skype + cisco) making it confusing sometimes which system to use to call a colleague, CRM system not linked to forecast system requiring manual export and email to manager
