Pros

make close friendships with your co-works, bring you dog to work, great office, fun environment, great learning experience

Cons

base salaries are SO low, they expect employees to work 10 hour days, and managers do not value opinions or feedback. if you have a bad month or two - you will be fired.

Pros

You get to sell almost every IT-related hardware, software and service, with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft licensing, to all kinds of small and medium businesses. Lots of mingling with reps from other vendors, so networking in the industry happens often. Lots of perks, like vendor-sponsored happy-hours, ongoing training, charity involvement and dogs at work. It's a friendly place that values character. Lots of younger workers keeps energy high.

Cons

High-intensity, every single day, is not for everybody. Not only are there financial targets, but phone-dial-activity targets, which feels old school, but comes with the terriroty. Not enough access to technical resources for newer reps unless they're working on lucrative deals. High turnover rate makes the job feel like it's considered disposable.

Pros

Benefits are good You can bring your dog to work

Cons

Worked in operations: Softchoice has a lot of potential, a lot of great strategy and very little alignment across the org. Managers are not good at translating messages down from the top. If you are ambitious, this is not the place for you! Softchoice will hold you back, they won't invest in your training or development. They pay significantly below the market and antiquated policies do not allow for increases up to market. They are not good at nurturing and rewarding the talent they have. They would rather have you leave and replace you than give you an increase. Work/life balance at Softchoice is heavily skewed towards work. For a technology company they are leagues behind when it comes to internal systems. Everything is so manual.
