Pros

good place upbeat . casual and bring your dog to work. well intentioned as a company. good company growth over the past 10+ years

Cons

Softchoice brags about a great culture and you can see it in some spots but they often use it to hide the real intentions behind some of their policies. they will make up ppolicies "as they go" and claim that the culture does not need a policy around certain things. this allows them to treat individuals differently and how they choose. AKA favoritism.

Pros

- There are a ton of opportunities to learn and develop new skills and take on projects that would normally be outside of one's typical job scope within most other corporations. - Having the opportunity to work closely with managers. Communication is very open at Softchoice and it is a very collaborative environment to work in. - This is a hardworking enviornment, generally work volume is full (across all positions) so it's a great place to work for someone who enjoys a challenging work environment. - Goals oriented company, very entrepreneurial culture. - Great commissions and incentives in place for sales people. - A great place for junior sales people to start their career, learn, develop and progress within the company. - Bring Dogs to Work - Green commute subsidy - Great benefits package - Gym on site, free of charge. Socially conscious company: - Softchoice Cares program - 2 paid volunteer days per person, per year. - Green committee (SC is committed to being 'green' and adopting green technology strategies).

Cons

- Not a great place for employees who want to progress without going through the proper time lines, mastering their current position and meeting the appropriate goals communicated.

Pros

Younger company Growing Good sales people can be flexible

Cons

Not every office gets to bring in dogs! No beer cart where I worked! Very limited support services. Focus on sales leads to total ignorance of everything else. Management is very political - lots of ties I was told - he's so and so's buddy - don't bug him. Or - be careful what you say! If you have a problem, you have to fix it yourself. Its really a distributor but thinks its a VAR, and this causes problems. Extremely bad work life balance - often expected to work weeks of 16 hour days by yourself.
