Strong leadership by the founders; mission driven to provide affordable clean solar; ambitious growth plans; belief anything is possible; fun Halloween and holiday parties

Cons

Customer and revenue growth at the expense of profit; too many company initiatives at once means cannot possible do everything; quickly fire people if no longer of use

Pros

Low Stress Environment. Good team-oriented aspect to sales approach. Commission based on performance. I would recommend it for someone looking to pursue sales and marketing as a career choice, but not everyone is designed to generate leads for 40 hrs a week.

Cons

Tough sales quota. Dealing with the market and people's bias is hard. Constantly on your feet and trying to persuade people to buy something they dont want is tough.

Pros

Employees truly believe in the mission of the company and most are friendly and committed to their teams. Health benefits are pretty great and start day 1

Cons

Training is incredibly short for FES, and has been reduced even more since I started. Sales targets are misleading, two metrics determine your success and one is entirely out of your control You live and die by the reputation of solar in your area and the local politics. I wasn't told about the restrictions in my area until after being hired. FES position require you to stand in retail stores for 8 hours a day, commutes to stores can be upwards of an hour depending on location. Company is pushing conflicting missions of high potential customers and only choosing likely potential customers. Base salary isn't bad but remains the same regardless of experience and time at company Shadow metrics for each store you're in. If a specific store hasn't received enough opps or contracts you can get stuck holding the bag at the end of the month. Turnover is incredibly high. Hours and locations can change without notice, schedule is only available in two week blocks that don't reset until Monday.
