Pros

I love working for a cause and helping to rid our beautiful planet of the carbon emissions that are destroying it. The industry is coming up on a critical mass and going nowhere but up from here. Merging with Tesla is super exciting too! Cool, this guy loves his job, but is he really making money? The money is amazing! Never thought I would make as much as company CEOs through educating people on the vast benefits of solar energy.

Cons

You must be a self starter for a direct sales position. People that come from a sales background will quickly see that this is the best company to sell the best product in the best market at the best time. You must have a big vision to keep you laser focused through the rejection of the job.

Pros

Good training program and perks

Cons

Unequal distribution of leads (I was getting 5 per month and other people on my team were getting 145 per month; and held to the same 7 deal quota) Management is a mess and has no clue what they are doing Back end paper work with PSEG process is a mess Most of the job isn't sales, it is doing administrative paper work on the back end taking you out of the field The pay package is weak compared to other companies Too many pointless conferences and meetings with little value to sales reps Often you'll travel an hour or more to get to an unqualified appointment They push you to do self gen appointments because it has a low cost of acquisition but still hold you to their company generated quota that is based on a break even point for them Very corporate to the point where they only care about numbers for shareholders resulting in no job security
