The Best Job I Couldn't Handle
Pros
The pay was very nice to someone who had only ever had entry level minimum wage jobs. The company culture, from the guys I saw everyday to the leadership we ever saw in video conference and everyone I met in between were people I would have loved to hang out with and I definitely was glad to work with. The Company vision was amazing, with heads like Rive & Musk, and teams passionate about growing the company and looking towards the future while dealing with the needs of today. The product is great, I've tried to get all of my friends and family who own roofs to get on board, unfortunately humans are creatures of habit and resistant to change, some of my most difficult customers. But yes, the product from the panels to the power are exceptional. Yes, when you do the math our contracts cost more overall than if you were to buy them outright, BUT THAT'S EVERYTHING. The most common comparison is to buying a car as they are similarly priced and useful. I know very few people who throw down that much for a car in one shot, we've made it affordable and feasible for EVERY home owner who has a roof that can support a system to reap the benefits NOW. Service. I've seen a few of the negative reviews about the company, but honestly, none of them were complete horror story status, and for everyone one bad experience, we have thousands of amazing stories of satisfied customers. we don't really have commercials, we're through word of mouth and sales initiative. We have nothing to gain from pulling one over on any of our customers, especially since we're to be partnered with them for at least two decades.
Cons
Pressure: The reason I'm leaving the company is because I can't hack the pressure of generating a certain amount of opps per month. Many of my co-workers come from high pressure sales environments and consider it a cake-walk because the product is amazing and there's no actual money exchanged during initial interaction. I did not come from that background and after two weeks of physical illness due to nerves and anxiety over the numbers I conferred with family and friends and decided I needed to move on for my health. If you have no issues with cold approaching people and can start a conversation, join up, it's an amazing company, I just couldn't hack it, myself.
