Pros

The morale was great at first. The company had a great atmosphere. Then...

Cons

I was the top sales rep for multiple months working out of the new Pittsburgh office. Once Tesla bought the company the compensation plan was cut drastically, company car benefits were reduced to work time only, sales reps were required to generate almost all leads on their own (when one of the main selling points of the job was 50%+ company set appointments), and overall morale crashed! I sold over 2.2 MILLION worth of solar for this company and they treated me like any other random employee on a spreadsheet on my way out the door.

Pros

Lyndon and Elon get it when it comes to people. Their very much about people and doing what's right.

Cons

Lyndon and Elon have no idea what is really going on at the ground level. The problem is at the VP and Director level. They needed to down size the sales force. Rather then actually cutting the bottom level performers they put very unrealistic quotas on them. Doesn't matter if you are actually selling because they are going to cancel out ANY of your jobs where homeowner requests a limited time hold. Even if the reason is valid and homeowner is still interested in moving forward. These jobs show up on the Job In Jeopardy report and that report is closely monitored by Executive Management. So if it ever makes it on to that report chances are within a few days they will cancel it. Once it's cancelled your quota is at risk of being missed. If you miss qouta by 1 sale more than once in a year then you get out on a weekly check in and can be fired at a moments notice. This has caused extreme uncertainty within the sales floor and Regional Managers. Over the last 6 months I've watched nearly 300 people either fired for missing quota or bouncing before they can be fired. When you have seasoned team members that have been with the company from the beginning given 1 month to hit quota or be fired then there is a serious problem.
