Pros

Had a culture of team work, trust and respect before 2021

Cons

Still in damage limitation mode 2yrs after the hack. Leadership are lacking the talent and respect to be able to steer the company out of the mess, the only focus they appear to have is rewarding themselves and their buddies... and hiring more of their buddies over and over again. Their return to office policy is against the majority of the employees wishes, yet they want to force people back into unnecessary commuting because they don't trust the staff so say it's to help collaborate better. Everyone is just tired of there act, they have no empathy for the hardworking employees who have seen enough of their lies to just bury away and wait for the paycheck.

While SolarWinds has actively addressed the SUNBURST incident from 2020, our executive leaders continue to be transparent on the subject, addressing employee questions and concerns in global all-hands and Ask Me Anything sessions. Both before and after the SUNBURST incident, SolarWinds has hired qualified employees in all offices and departments based on referrals and skills. We believe our behaviors drive outcomes. Returning to our offices and consistently bringing people together will drive more energy, active collaboration, and engagement amongst teams. With our hybrid model, we want to ensure we are leveraging our facilities and building stronger relationships by coming together in person, while also maintaining flexibility on the days and times required to be in the office. Direct manager has been good in this mess.

Cons

Senior management act single minded, not open to dialogue. New ideas are batted away without consideration, you would have thought they'd at least try and turn a negative situation into a positive spin but it's been a leadership team without any leaders. A predictable blame cycle is trending within the company, tools are to blame, then marketing, then sales, then it's product, then it's the partners who aren't doing enough to warrant the margins and it keeps on going and on and on. Dubious hiring of ALOT of people from Pulse Secure where the CEO used to work, doesn't give a equal opportunities vibe at all, if the people brought in actually improved the company thats one thing but they contributed to it's downfall for the last 2years.
