Pros

New CEO is bringing humanity and new strategy into place. He truly cares about the success of the employees.

Cons

Some higher level managers don’t understand how to truly lead. They still struggle in certain areas to provide successful career path coaching or opportunities. The old hierarchical structure needs to be flattened out.

Pros

Great company with large product portfolio to serve the market. Potential to be a great market leader.

Cons

The latest announcement is the CRO leaving. When we had the new CEO joined last year, he divided the sales team, then started bypassing the CRO and started working with all the sales leaders directly and brought his own sales folks and made it frustrating for the CRO, and finally he is leaving. This has been the pattern with many leaders and executives leaving the company over the last several months which is never seen in the company till now. Powerful CEOs make their leaders more powerful. Here it is complete opposite. CEO will micro manage and start bypass and undermine his own team and leave enough traces to tell them that he is the boss. No one is allowed to make a simple decision without going to the CEO. This is visible everywhere, attending all sorts of meetings and making the team wonder what to do/say when he is around. CEO should let the leadership and executive team play their role, otherwise it is becoming ineffective at this stage. CEO is all over the place when it comes to decision making, speaks on all sides, no concrete opinions, leaves the blame to his team and wants to pretend like an ideal human. CEO doesn't know his role/job, wants to be in the lime light and works on what he likes. By demonstrating every day that he is the hero, he is making the company and his leadership team a big ZERO. Another latest twist, he hired a CFO banker who has zero background into a transformer role. Let's watch out and see if this means replacing CFO or another CXO.
