Not such a great place to work for in Australia

Pros

Great team and top level managers are helpful and understanding

Cons

Huge turn over. No progress plan is defined and if you ask for career growth, you may hear the exact same words. Salaries are ridiculously low. If you wanna work in sales, you will be part of a failed team with a considerable turnover in midlevel management.

Pros

Nice work environment. Amazing colleagues. CEO sends out hilarious religious emails on Easter. Ok, maybe this is rather sad...

Cons

The lower management repeatedly made promises in order to keep the top performers but hasn't delivered. In retrospective it feels like they kept dangling a carrot in front of my face. I gave the company my best and received only a mediocre reward for my services. The high management of engineering (pre-acquisition, to be fair to the current folks) openly lied in the recent past, repeatedly. And not because telling the truth would compromise a business goal, strategy etc. There is simply no excuse for such behavior!

There were better times

Pros

There are still some people trying to make the things better. Some teams have an outstanding culture and attitude. Free catering twice a week. Career opportunities, if you have the right attitude and know the right people. Solid salaries.

Cons

The company is a text-book example of the Peter principle. Top management does not have a long-term vision, priorities are changing too often. Middle managers have no idea what they are doing. For the number of products, the company has too few employees to maintain them all. Technologies and products are getting obsolete very fast. Micro management
