Pros

There are some good people there. But they usually leave quickly.

Cons

Draconian executive management. Strategy that changes by the minute. Cro-Magnon Marketing and Sales tactics. Low pay. No advancement. Yeah.

Pros

The people that you will work directly with are great. The culture at the lower levels can be fun. Free lunch on Tuesday and Friday and at the end of months. Very fast paced, and intense environment which can be fun.

Cons

The senior leadership team is very controlling. There is also a lot of negativity that comes from upper management. You will always be behind a number no matter what, and the way quotas are handled and rolled out is a complete disaster. The CEO has a stronghold on everything. I truly believe the company would be much more profitable and enjoyable to work for if the CEO was replaced. Only about 20%-25% of people actually hit their numbers, so OTE isn't what most people should expect to make long term. I have been fortunate to have found a model that works for me, and haven't missed my annual quota in 4 years.

Pros

Distributed offices are a perk for engineering, so you get to visit a lot of locations other than the boring Austin offices.

Cons

All directors and above seem hyped about the work that they do, but in the bigger scheme of things, it's not that meaningful. The stack is old and mostly on-premise. Things don't move fast at all. An MSP engineering project was supposed to take 18 months from ideation to launch and it never even happened. Lots of presentations and decks and talk about how it should be done instead of validating by prototyping.
