Pros

Great benefits and several shifts to choose from: M-F 7am-3:30pm, M-F 3-11:30pm, M-F 11pm-7:30am, and when I worked there a Wednesday-Sunday 7am-3:30pm shift as well. Seems to be a lot of upward mobility within the company; I moved into a new position within a year. Benefits included health care, vision and dental, paid time off, 401(k), disability. Also the job itself is inspiring and you would be providing tissue grafts for a lot of people.

Cons

Not flexible when it comes to schedule; for example you can't come in at 7:30 and leave at 4 or skip lunch to leave early. Also the pay wasn't great. First shift was always coveted but 2nd and 3rd shifts seemed to be able to "get away with" more since the supervisors and company heads all worked during the day. They are very strict with time in/time out, etc., whereas other jobs I've worked understand that one day you may be a few minutes late and another you may be early. I never had a time issue but saw a lot of people get disciplined over what I would consider pretty minor things. Overall a good company to work for if you like a job where you punch in, do the same things day after day, punch out and leave your work at work.

Pros

Great benefits. Still has traditional insurance plan high and low both are reasonable and affordable. Decent PTO plan and Retirement plan match. Improved pay scale.

Cons

Endemic negative work culture. Favoritism/Nepotism/Sexism both real and perceived make the opportunities for advancement appear to be rigged. Inconsistent enforcement of rules for eligibility for transfers and promotions out of department also fuel the sense the system is unfair.

Pros

Exciting industry to work in, seeing the medical innovations first hand is fantastic.

Cons

Insane hours, will be asked to drive as far as a couple hours in the middle of the night after having already worked sometimes 16 or more hrs that day!
