Pros

Lot of overtime and double time if you like to work all the time. Dane (CEO) is a cool guy, but he doesn't constitute all of management.

Cons

The pay is very low for this position compared to other companies. The hours can be long as you have to complete all the jobs of the day before going home (not just the jobs assigned to you either). I had to work 10-12 hour days, so I had a 4 day a week schedule which allowed me to have some personal life. As the company grew, this got revoked for all employees in my department after working almost 5 years for SONIC and they wanted me to be available to work 60+ hour work weeks and have no life. Basically the one thing Sonic had over other companies in this position was its flexibility. Take that away and you might as well get a job with Comcast or AT&T or any other construction company which pays more. Sonic only pays around $16-20/hour in this position. Benefits are also low. They do not match the 401K and you have to wait a year to start using it (which is silly since they don't match it). Considering the responsibilities and skills required to do this job, I would expect better compensation.
