      Pros

      There are a few individuals scattered around who are highly skilled and capable. If you get an offer, I guess it's a salary.

      Cons

      Has all the clieche workplace issues. Doesn't value skill/knowledge. If you have a decent salary, you are a target for RIF. The culture is similar to high school student council. The expectation is you're fully "committed" to the cause despite the support and product quality issues that exist. "the product is good because we say it's good" whether that is based in reality or not. Technical skill is not valued compared to ability to consume Kool-aid.

      Pros

      The line workers are by and large great to work with - friendly, supportive, cooperative, and competent.

      Cons

      A bloated management structure prevents the line workers from feeling fulfilled, valued, and being able to achieve great things. Micro-management, pettiness, political squabbles, and lack of meaningful work leads to a workplace that can be described as ho-hum, dreary, and uninspiring. Management talks, but rarely does it walk its talk.
