      Pros

      There was always challenging work always available. The opportunity to contribute to business in a meaningful way existed at many levels. Brand strength and affinity with consumers.

      Cons

      Limited autonomy in some cases and decision making usually involved many layers, meaning that it was difficult to move quickly in response to the industry and environmental changes. Loss of local talent in recent years.

      Pros

      Great work environment and work/life balance. Still have a good brand competiveness in the electronics markets. Good products and good RD.

      Cons

      Top Management only from Japan, sometimes not understanding local markets. Too many changes in Top management, as Japanese mangares will relocate almost every 4 years, thus not having enough time to understand markets and trends.

      Pros

      Surrounded by intelligent and wonderful colleagues, made many great friends that I still keep in touch to this day. Perks and benefits were great. Sony's technology is still leading the industry, I really wished they could market their products better.

      Cons

      Titles were all saturated, everyone was director back then. Upper management were not capable to provide us with the clear direction how to turn around business models. Too slow in making critical decisions. Not much direction given to the non-Japanese management. Massive layoff damaged the company culture severely.
