They'll get their money's worth - and more

Pros

fast-paced, lots to be done, never a dull moment; lots of very smart people, some that you can laugh off the stress with. When you do have the opportunity to speak with upper management, they do seem to take a genuine interest in what you have to say.

Cons

No work/life balance, little process, no structure (which allows people to run around without guidance, supervision and without 'grooming'). There's no time to stop and figure out if something (or someone) worked - there are too many projects in the queue.. got to keep moving. Salaries are low low low. Company sends mixed messages and doesn't demonstrate that it's willing to invest in its people for the long run. People are unhappy.

- Free cakes at 10! - Free coffee that's very good - Good canteen - The Abingdon HQ is very modern

Cons

- Lots of managerial red tape. To work here, you need to enjoy attending countless hours of meetings where nothing gets decided. This of course means that you end up spending more time in more meetings! - Distinct lack of promotional opportunities. - Development practices are lagging behind the rest of the industry. - Engineering doesn't play 2nd fiddle, we play the viola. Everything revolves around sales, and as a result our products are designed to maximize short term returns.
