Pros

There are lots of talented people at Sophos, and many of them have been working at Sophos for many many years, even they are clearly under paid. They are normally very kind and love to help ppls.

Cons

There are too many layers in the management structure at the moment. The senior management now totally depend on the information from the middle layer management. Some recent changes were made too easy without enough communication, which significantly affected the morale in engineering teams.

Cons

Devs work with their hands tied - no training, no respect and no investment. Banks of hardware on peoples desks rather than a VM Farm ? Devs managing and maintaining some critical and some backup systems because they don't trust IT to have the skills or the turn around to respond to requests of the systems Sophos spends much time and effort on managing bugs rather than fixing them People considered and always referred to as 'resources' Underlying feeling of chat over coffee as frowned upon therefore to be cut to a minimum Time is money. Very little socialising after work - which is indicative of the shallow relationships of your team.
