Pros

Be careful if you chose to join this organization. You will be allowed to work autonomously yet multiple meetings on a weekly basis to "unite" the teams and regions of the country. Good work life balance, if you are not a medical provider If you have a Masters Degree or higher you are valued Compensation is good, benefits adequate

Cons

No firm processes in place, rapid growth has lead to dysfunctional leadership. Inability to view the problems at hand. Busy looking at the broad scope rather than the pinpoint areas causing friction and breakdown. There is no culture at this company. There do not appear to be any values other than dog eat dog or Big Me, Little You. Very poor employee relations, with the multitude of employees disengaged while the leadership is clueless to this fact. Highly stressful work environment, no smiles, no friendships within the home office. Very little camaraderie between workers. Dismal work environment

Pros

Remote Flexible Schedule Benefits are offered

Cons

Work ethic and job performance are irrelevant when layoffs occur. (Employees are told that "HR and Legal" made the decision on who to let go, and in no way is it based off of job performance). They talk almost like they put names in a hat to decide who to keep and who to fire. Seniority is irrelevant when layoffs occur. (Some people that have worked here for 10 or more years were fired while people that were new/here less than a year and still learning the job were retained. No consideration was given to employees with seniority whatsoever. Some people that were retained is truly baffling in comparison to some of the employees that were laid off. It makes ZERO sense. Popularity with upper management seems to be what matters when layoffs occur. Management preaches transparency, but lies to employees when asked directly if jobs are secure. No loyalty to employees in any capacity. New CEO is trash compared to previous owner. Previous owner truly cared about the employees, Jeff Alter is rude, uncaring and unprofessional, he treats employees that were laid off like they are just numbers and not people. He has a very shoulder-shrug attitude about firing over 50 people and deflects and lies when asked questions about the reasoning and denies further lay-offs, but you can tell in meeting that this is a lie and more lay-offs will come once the transition is complete, i know non of us are safe, this is just the first round. When employees noticed all the changes and got scared of layoffs, we asked our upper managemnt/leaders directly if our jobs were safe. The CEO blatantly lied, telling everyone their jobs were safe when asked multiple times over at least a 9 month period. It was always, "Don't worry, no one's getting fired we are just looking to cut costs where we can, but your jobs are safe." Once upon a time, this was a wonderful place to work, now I would say run, this job is a joke. I will be looking for a new job, I no longer trust Sound. They do nothing but lie.
