Hi and thank you for your review. We agree – our practices are well-supported and staffed. We know patient volumes fluctuate and try to build that into our models, though it sounds like you may have experienced more imbalance. While leadership and management style can vary from practice to practice, we strive for consistent values and approach. If you’d like to share more about what you experienced and how we might do better, we welcome your feedback at belong@soundphysicians.com. — The Sound team

Pros

I experienced extremely supportive leadership that contributed to my professional development. I learned a tremendous amount about the business side of acute healthcare. I very much enjoyed collaborating and building relationships with the physician team. Preparing patients and their families for discharge and beyond was meaningful work. Work life balance was a high priority for my leaders. Good work was promptly and publicly recognized.

Cons

Sound hospitalist teams are contracted by hospital systems. Visions don't always align. The hospital system is the "ultimate boss".

I love hearing how your experience measured up to what we believe it should be: supportive, purposeful, and collaborative. We absolutely value professional development and work-life balance! Thank you for your time with us, and I hope you’ve found a place to land where you’re continuing to make a difference. Our teams matter so much to us, and we hope that our vision aligns with the hospitals and health systems we partner with. Sometimes, we need to recalibrate. My virtual door is always open, so whether you’re at Sound today or haven’t worked with us in years, I still value what you have to say. If you see an opportunity for us to be better, let me know?
