Pros

Have worked for them over a year now and was skeptical of their commitment to their stated values. Too many CEO's or Health Systems (including the faith based) ones "talk the talk" but don't "walk" it. Well, Sound seems to be doing it. Warm and friendly leadership. They follow thru on the big ideas. They are constantly providing feedback in an appropriate way to spur you on to be better. And they are also constantly asking for feedback on themselves. Not just for the company but for the patients. They are the most positive organization I have worked for in 20 years of health care and have made me a cautious believer. Decent work schedule, decent pay and good bosses.

Cons

They stumble in the details. Payroll gets screwed up at least once a month. Their billing program doesn't work for the long term care model. Sometimes it takes several emails and several phone calls to get a problem solved. But I once saw the computer screen of a regional manager as he/she answered her emails FOR ONE TWO HOUR MEETING and saw >200 emails waiting for a response. They have a lot of administrative work to do and sometimes the small details get lost.

Pros

I have worked in the healthcare industry for many years and companies always talk about helping employees succeed, but few actually deliver. Sound Physicians fosters an environment of success for employees - both clinical and non-clinical and that is rare to find. The culture is one of teamwork, integrity and respect and people really do strive to live by the core values. Work/life balance is very important in this company and management works hard to ensure that balance is maintained.

Cons

As we continue to grow, it will be crucial to keep the lines of communication open.

Pros

Worked for Sound for little over 2 years and love working for Sound. Sound recognizes the accomplishments of their colleagues and shares the information each week! Teams or colleagues who are remote feel included as a part of the teams. As a physician with Sound you are able to spend time with patients and always encouraged to look at the whole patient experience. We have some of the most caring physicians I have worked with in my career!

Cons

Balancing the needs and wants of our hospital partners as they realize the value our physicians add to their locations. Our physicians and nurse practitioner are great to work with improving the overall patient care often leaving our hospital partners wanting more of our various areas of expertise.
