      Pros

      Making a difference in the lives of the patients and families impacted each day, while working collaboratively with the entire hospitalist and hospital team.

      Cons

      Working under the Sound Physician Corporation, who has little insight to the everyday operations of each hospital and how unique they truly are; therefore one model cannot work nationally. Leadership who run the organization from their homes or hotel rooms with little desire to have those on the front line have a voice. Little to no areas of opportunity for growth.

      Leadership in for themselves, "watch out"!

      Pros

      If you are able to work outside of the corporate office at a contracted site, you may be able to have minimal contact with the leadership team or be placed in a region that has good leadership. The less you have to deal with any level of leadership...the better.

      Cons

      Money hungry!!! Lost track of their original concept of Physicians are our greatest asset. Continuously trying to keep up with the evolution of healthcare, but unfortunately are unable to do so without stealing the work of others by partnering with them or not giving credit where credit is due. For those on the ground...no incentives, no corporate ladder. They pre-select their leadership team, before jobs are posted. Some of leadership are hostile. HR used as a cover up, rather than a protector for employees. etc, etc, etc, etc.

      The rapid growth of this company caused them to lose focus of their best assets, their employees. Morale suffered.

      Pros

      The rapid and expansive growth offered potential, however, mostly for new physicians entering the company.

      Cons

      Morale of the administrative staff suffered greatly due to a lack of support and positive feedback from the executive members. They could have been under stress from the fast paced growth of this company.
