Pros

There are no pros anymore, sadly.

Cons

Everything. The worst mean girls vibe in clinician services. I have watched people who have been here for years and work 14 hours days. To find a better paying less hour job to then be iced out by the director. Not even a “thanks for everything” after 6 plus years. Then don’t even get started on the social media aspect and how they will delete you the second you disagree. Even when you have text proof of the leaders bad mouthing you, it’s swept under the rug. The company doesn’t care how you are treated and after all the turnover you would think they would see the problem. Exit interviews not being done and even people continuing to get paid after leaving.

No work life balance

Pros

The pay is fair and you do get PTO.

Cons

The company is constantly changing management. Many of the top executives were recently fired after working at Sound for many years. The CEO just stepped down as well. The company picks up programs all the time, but also closes the same amount or more all the time. The jobs for the programs should be considered temporary because the contracts are year to year and they do not share that when hiring. As they close programs, you are not helped to find other work within the company, you are just laid off. You are expected to work and be available on weekends and holidays, so no work life balance at all. Also, no set pay increases. I have been here 3 years with no increase.

Pros

Smart co-workers who care about mission

Cons

Leadership appears to be radically disconnected from the day-to-day, aloof to feedback shared from customers, and disinterested in suggestions from staff. Lack of resources/tools to scale operations resulted in a perception of significant risk for human error, resulting in a paranoid work environment and stressed employees. Expected to work nights/weekends multiple times per month, on top of 50hr work week m-f. People managers are given little-to-no training on how to effectively manage staff, resulting in poor communication across departments and teams.
