Pros

Sound Transit is undertaking one of the most ambitious transportation projects in the world. The pace of change and development is outstanding. The pay and benefits are good and in general there is an appreciation for work/life balance.

Cons

The leadership has been in constant turmoil for years. The political pressures prevent the organization from operating optimally, such as the complete control of King County over Sound Transit through the board, despite the fact that King County is contracted to Sound Transit to operate the system. It is an odd and dysfunctional relationship. The current leadership has struggled to find any stability and has left many staff frustrated.
