Good experience but not long term
Pros
Learn major softwares such as Salesforce, develop relationships with students, opportunities for growth, great relationships with coworkers I loved my experience and I gained so much knowledge while I was here but I wish I was treated as an asset rather than a nuisance.
Cons
Micromanagement - met once a week for a 1v1 to discuss metrics, met every morning to discuss previous day metrics and goals for the week, also had to turn in metrics (how many dials you made per hour, how many appointments you met with for the day, how many emails and text messages were sent, how many enrollments and referrals were obtained) sheet by the end of the day. It was excessive. There is no sick time, you use your vacation time, health insurance isn’t the greatest. Practically non existent HR - based out of TN and couldn’t care less about how you feel and more there to protect management. You're working 9am-6pm, one day 10am-7pm, Friday is 8am-5pm, and usually one Saturday a month from 9am-12pm but this can increase. At the end of the day it’s a private school looking to create income from students so there will be pressure for you to perform as if this is a sales position. I’m constantly being told I’m good at what I’m doing, mentoring my peers and working on improving myself but then management would turn around and tell me that I am not performing well enough. It’s mixed signals and don’t expect empathy from management either.
