Good working conditions, not much of a drive if your local, overall good people to work with. Full time benefits are just okay for a company this size. not stressful unless your in management.

Cons

Training is next to non existent, Promotion from within does not happen often, never enough hours in the day/week to get the job done that they expect. Corporate buyers have no clue what they are sending stores.

Many of the people are great to work with.

Cons

The upper management in the "new" company does not have a grasp on reality or concept of how the two companies differed and how to bring the attributes of the two together to better serve their customer. There is no effort to listen to the current Nash Finch employees and involve them in the transition.

Pros

Some of the coworkers are great and a few of the customers that come in every day bring a smile to your day.

Cons

Management is terrible here. The store director is maybe at the store 20 hrs a week but he gets paid salary when everyone else who works at least 40 hrs a week gets paid hourly. The way management acts results in poor morale for the rest of the employees. You have to fight for the benefits you deserve, even if you are eligible they don't just give them to you. You have to be persistent about getting the benefits you are eligible for.
