Pros

This employer allows flexible scheduling for employees. People are friendly. There is lots of room for growth. I enjoyed my time there.

Cons

The only bad things are pay is minimum wage. Raises happen just not as much as one would like.

Pros

It's nice at the end of the year that they reward their employees at Christmas time. (Our store gave us a free 20-pound turkey and a little gift bag with chocolates and a $5 gift card.) But it's not really enough.

Cons

I am a very hard-worker but rarely ever hear any praise. (Only by my coworkers, not by my manager, store director, etc.) Actually, I have been told that my manager raves about me to others, but has yet to compliment me to my face, aside from my review. And after getting my review, where she literally had no suggestions and gave me 100%, I walked away with a 6 CENTS RAISE. I guess I should be happy that they bothered, but it doesn't even really matter that they did. A company I was with before, all of my raises were 25 cents or MORE. No one stays with the company so we are constantly short-handed, which sucks for someone who has never called in in their life, having to pick up everyone's days off and slacking. Not happy at all and once I can afford a way of transportation, I am getting a different job immediately.
