      Pros

      Westville location was great place to work but they're closing it.

      Cons

      SpartanNash will close a location and say it because it didn't get any new customers which is a lie. They took Westville's new customers and put them in Lima, Ohio. Putting of of work many people including VETS! Which they suppose to be backing 100% Another LIE. Would even let the one's willing to move to transfer to another warehouse.

      Good site managers nothing else.

      Cons

      Kept getting the same line of B.S. from upper management that we had no worries about the warehouse closing down. Then they give us exactly 60 days notice that they would be closing the entire warehouse and we would need to find other employment.

      Pros

      CEO, CFO, and most of the EVPs are excellent. The Board picked the right management team to lead the merged company forward. Good location off 494, right on France. 401k is standard match, salaries are decent. New cafeteria in the building is an improvement.

      Cons

      SpartanNash is a $8-9b company trying to operate with a HQ in Michigan, where there is a limited talent pool. The company is still in the process of merging the two companies so there are system issues in every area. The switch to Spartan Stores benefits was a horrible change for the MN based employees. Benefits are primarily designed for the MI residents. Due to the merger, work-life balance for some areas is non-existent.
