Pros

Can strike Gold and make a nice check. You'll get great experience.

Cons

500 Leads is just random homes without spectrum service that have not been knocked in 6 months most doors inside the city are well trained on door to door sales evasion some are nice but you can expect every couple of interactions a day to be very in your face rude. Have to deal with stray dogs chasing you down sometimes. "Work your own hours" we are expected to work at least 60 hours Monday-Saturday; Sunday is off. This is just time in the field knocking on doors; we also have out of work expectations. There is no work life balance expect this to be a 80 hour weekly commitment. Not committing this amount of time will cause you to have to attend unnecessary meetings or phone meetings that ultimately just cause you to commit additional time and inconvenience until you fold. The one thing that does frustrate me and others is putting in mileage it is flawed and subtracts extra miles from your mileage with triangulation. It basically takes the quickest way back home in terms of miles on the commute home when calculating but it subtracts double the distance you take to get to the office. In my case I lose 8miles per day and I tried to get this addressed but since it is an issue that benefits the company it is on its lowest possible priority. It is common to see people getting compensated $3-0 daily for driving.

Pros

Free Services. That's it.

Cons

Poor upper management, no concern for employees, no concern for customers. Lower management is told not to allow information concerning restructuring or process changes to employees. Only selling highest Internet service possible to take away options from consumers to make up for lost TV cable revenue. Jobs being sent overseas through subsidiary companies. Benefits are much poorer under new management, high premiums and less coverage. After 8 years of devotion was almost forced into a low level position for half the pay even though my position was only moving and I was willing to move with it. HR is incompetent and does not have any concern for employees job satisfaction, work safety etc.
