There's absolutely no logical reason to require employees to come into the office to do this job. It could all be done remotely. It's shockingly luddite for a tech company to be so opposed to remote work. Does it not occur to them that a happy, healthy employee is a better, more productive employee? I wish prospective employees good luck with a years-long journey to a hypothetical remote position, assuming they ever meet the litany of subjective and arbitrary criteria, much of which is determined by random chance. I've never heard of a tech-support office so determined to ignore the efficiency and efficacy of work-from-home technology.
