Pros

Great benefits, gas allowance, set your own schedule, and that's about it.

Cons

Micromanagement, be prepared to be on a conference call morning and evening 5 days a week, had to sell product a certain way that was ineffective in the field, half the potential clients I sold on the product were unable to be hooked up due to past due balances, bad credit, or their address was not serviceable, cable installers would frequently mess up install jobs causing the clients to cancel the deal, I would frequently stay out in the field until 9:00pm on days where nobody was interested, had to sell Charter Triple Play bundle, for example I sold a young couple internet and phone because they did not own a TV, and had no interest in purchasing one.. when I told my manager the situation on the conference call the next morning, he implied that I should have provided them with a TV even though that is a violation of Charter policy. 85% of the sales team I was apart of were on probation for not consistently hitting their goals. Be able to handle lots of stress and rejection.

Pros

The benefits offered are among some of the best in the area. Upon being offered a front-line position, multiple schedules are available.

Cons

There is no clear direction or communication from executive leadership. Each member of management seems to be focused on his or her own agenda and directing the blame for failed objectives to the next level below them. Reward and recognition are no longer based upon performance or merit, but are instead reserved for a handful of individuals who have curried the favor of their superiors by sabotaging the work of their peers by any number of unethical means.

Pros

Good pay, great benefits, amazing discounts off service. Quick advancement options based on performance.

Cons

Spectrum is the perfectly example of a company treats it's employees exactly how they treat there customers. Lie, mislead, and take advantage of. It's sad that they do this because the benefits and pay is great but I can never recommend working at a company where you are told your commission structure is based on loosing the least. Everyone becomes shady. Disconnects may not happen to avoid bad numbers and loosing money. Adding random service that was never asked for because money and metrics. Anything you can read online that seemingly may just be one person happens often. I had calls atleast once a day almost an elderly person being told they had a service with us they didn't fully sign up for or just people in general..or calling to disconnect the service months ago and it was never done. A person can show proof that they no longer live at a location and an agent can manipulate the system to not show notes and the manager that may check the system may not want to do their job and may not want credits and adjustments even if they are justified. Everything is backwards here. I feel bad for the customers that can't even leave spectrum as a ISP because they are one of the worst you're forced to have.
