      Flexibility and a family - like atmosphere

      Pros

      The therapists are autonomous as we can treat however and wherever on the property we'd like. If it's nice outside for example, we can treat outside. - Flexible scheduling.

      Pros

      The clients, if you got into this field it’s because you enjoy working with the intellectually disabled. Which they are great.

      Cons

      The lowest paying Agency In the state of NJ. They don’t care if you are doing well at your job because you will not get a raise so everyone just does the bare minimum. This makes the working environment EXTREMELY toxic. They will say a certain position like a client coordinator requires a BA but then have another position that is a director of a department whose salary is double only requires HS/GED. It was the worst company I have ever worked for.

      The Clients were the best part of the experience

      Cons

      The fellow staff and supervisory staff were mentally abusive, fatphobic and just overall an unsafe work environment. Pay was far from a living wage, and supervisory staff NEVER cared about the needs of direct care workers.
