Pros

- Interesting and active work environment. - No shortage of hours if you're willing to work them. - Fairly good pay proportional to the amount of work. - Holiday pay is fairly frequent and significant. - Engaging with the public can be unbelievably rewarding at times, especially when you become familiar with regulars. - Weekly pay can be a godsend at times. - Onboarding and training are swift, so expect to be making decent income in a relatively short time-frame. - Employee discount for gasoline, at least at the time I was working there.

Cons

- Turnover is high, leading to frequent staffing shortages and undertrained employees. - Not for the faint of heart; horror stories and sob stories alike make it through the front doors and to your counter. - As rewarding as the public can be, expect abuse abound from disgruntled or predatory customers. Physical threats, sexual harrassment, screaming matches, the whole kit and kaboodle.

Pros

Money Not a hard job Easy to advance if have the skills and open availability - AKA - no life -

Cons

No work life balance To much responsibility put on Store Manager plate Little support from corporate Running stores like franchise now that 7/11 purchased Employee call ins non stop - people to replace them are worse then currently employed ones so not worth having the turn over. No consistent system for disciplinary actions between stores, all up to individual store managers. Upper Management does not listen to Store management opinion and just blows smoke when trying to get answers or have realistic conversations.

Pros

Getting to know a diverse of regular customers on a day-to-day basis. You learn what the want and need as you go along. Making some friends with co-workers, as so many come and go. Weekly pay.

Cons

Most management is horrible because their boss is horrible. It's the overall company itself. Too many employees are overworked and underpaid. Don't expect any raises, and called in on a day off when another co-worker flips a no-show. The dangerous part of it all is working by yourself on any given shift. Customers can get mad when the lines are out the door, and there is only one cashier. Go ahead and use the bathroom and lock the door for safety. but expect a write-up. So I am giving this 1 star, but o if I could.
