Pros

The store I worked at had a great store manager and supportive employees. They offer a great training program for management which helps introduce new managers to coaching, PNL, etc.

Cons

If you're in a small store it can be hard to get all the tasks done that the company requires. Not enough people or hours.

Pros

There aren't any pros for this place.

Cons

Extremely stressful environment. Lack of hours, dress code too strict (It's a gas station. No one cares if your shirt is tucked in, if you're wearing a belt, or what's in your ears), can get fired for not scanning enough rewards cards when it's not your fault if the customer doesn't have it and doesn't want it, management is horrible, there needs to be one manager there during first and second shift every day and they would just leave to store to inexperienced workers. No breaks. Not even if you work an 8 hour shift. If you work 8 hours, you are on your feet for 8 hours. The surveillance care more about what the employees are doing than the customers. I was told surveillance will tell the manager to fire you if you're shirt isn't tucked in. There are no benefits unless you work there a year. When I was hired, I was told I couldn't get discounts at work, but I could get discounts at plenty of other places, which is fine as long as I get some kind of benefit from working there. I couldn't find where to get these discounts so I emailed Speedway's employee help thing, and they aren't willing to help their employees with basic questions. They told me to ask my manager. I asked my manager, I was told it was on the website. Not only is it not on the website, but you don't get any kind of benefits from working at Speedway until you've been there a year which is total crap. I feel the company is trying to find things to fire people over which is terrible business ethnics.
