Pros

Decent pay and decent benefits for the industry

Cons

Company conducts illegal activity, payroll sometimes doesn't pay and "loses" paperwork like vacation time and medical leave. I've seen managers go out on medical leave and not get paid because the paperwork got "lost" and then it couldn't be re-approved in time. My own pay didn't arrive 8 times. They lost my promotion paperwork from AM to GM and as a result my benefits and pay were delayed 4 weeks and it was and will never be corrected. They put me in their biggest store in the area and told me in 3-6 months I'd get promoted, it's now been over a year and I've heard the same story from every manager. They make us cook food even though the septic tank overflows into the fresh, filtered water every week and they refuse to get it fixed. They refuse to get the store heat fixed and the store runs at less than 50 degrees inside. I've worked at Best Buy, Rite Aid, Mobil, Circle K, and this has been by far my worst career experience. DO NOT WORK FOR SPEEDWAY. They will work you 70+ hours, not pay you, and then laugh you off the phone because they don't care.

Pros

Technology driven. Customer Focused. Central Recruiting. Competitive salary and bonus structure to date. Comparable benefits. Ever expanding company and operations. Stable financial backing.

Cons

Lack of Accommodations, Standing for 10 - 12 hour shift. Unreasonable expectations of time needed for proper completion of tasks. Multiple sources instead of one singular place to acquire needed information. Endless passwords, changing every 90 days. Time wasted on mundane computer entry tasks when phone calls / logs would be quicker.

Pros

Weekly pay. Good health benefits

Cons

This company sucks the life out of you. I was always trying to look at positive reviews when I read about a company, but after working for speedway for 5 months I see what all the negative talk is about. They expect you to me 5 people at one time. You have to be a robot to the company. They purposely work csr workers 7 hours just to avoid giving them the required 20 minute break. That shows a lot of respect. The managers are basically a higher paid cashier. You don't manage anything. You spend your day ringing a register. Filling the cooler, taking out the garbage and mopping a floor. That's speedways management style. Don't work here unless you need a job. If you are working til 11pm and the overnight cashier calls in sick. You will be calling your store manager and if they don't answer you are stuck working. Corporate doesn't care about its people. If your store is struggling and you get your monthly inspection and you left coffe grounds in your coffee maker and a sandwich is made wrong. There goes a few hundred dollars off your monthly bonus.
