Pros

You get paid weekly. That was really the only positive thing I could find about working at this company.

Cons

Where do I begin? - No breaks despite working up to 10-hour shifts. That includes food, water, bathroom, and rest. - No discounts, despite laboring like a slave all day - No deviation from a strict routine. - No creative thinking is encouraged, you must stick to the pre-posted guidelines at all costs. - No forward movement for career opportunities - Uncomfortable, poorly-made uniforms - Mandatory sales without commission - TERMINATION if mandatory sales are not met - In smaller stores, you will find yourself frequently working alone on 2nd shift (when things get very, very busy.)

Pros

Upon being hired into management, you get semi-monthly and quarterly bonuses after your training period along with insurance. You are guaranteed 7-8 hour shifts. The customers are one of a kind and are the only reason to stand behind that counter.

Cons

The one thing the training program does not tell you is it is not a guarantee for placement. They will train you for management, but tell you they have no management positions open in any of their stores. The pay scale for a management job there is horrid, and the bonuses are sub-par. If the store manager does not like you, they will refuse to train you and you will fail the training program. The district managers act like they care, but really don't. If you have a learning disability, they will refuse to help you further. The employees are constantly in bad moods and treated poorly. They will constantly talk about every single person behind their backs. It's not a job. It's high school all over again. The amount of food waste is atrocious, and management/corporate does not allow donating to-be food waste (bread products) to local farms or shelters (whole sandwiches. Management will leave early because it's tiresome and extraordinarily stressful being around such a negative environment.

Too may hours, not enough pay.

Pros

Decent corporate structure. Fairly good benefits.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations put on people who are making minimum wage. As a former manager, it was difficult, if not impossible, to get the CSR's to buy in to the company expectations. As management, the hours were nothing short of terrible. They offer tuition reimbursement, but no manager has time to go take advantage of the benefit.
