Pros

There are barely any. It’s only decent as a starter job that’s about it.

Cons

The company itself is very unorganized. The management teams are horrible and coporate isn’t any better. No matter how hard you work, how much effort you put it isn’t rewarding. You start off at 9.00 an hour and get a .25 raise after 6 months. Every year date after that you get a raise based on your performance. Now depending on your management and if they are decent they will actually give you your appraisal like they are supposed too. Or you could end up with a crappy no good piece of trash and get screwed over and over again. You get no breaks even when having to work 12+ hours. You could be trained to do everything on both cafe and store side and you’d get zero appreciation. Management doesn’t care about you. They all think they are too good to do non management work. They don’t care about your availability, they don’t care about you at all. To them you are a warm body to work while they all sit on their behinds. They’d rather higher in managers instead of moving up employees who deserve it. There’s so much wrong with this company it would take an entire book to even get it all out. I would never recommend it.

Pros

I wish there were some

Cons

While at Speedway I was harassed by my manager for many things, like my disability, my girlfriend and how she has low standards for dating me, and my dead mother. These are just a few examples of the daily horrors I had to deal with. It got so bad a found a new job and put in my 2 weeks, but after the second day, I couldn’t come back because the harassment got so bad. Do yourself a favor and find a company that actually respects their employees and won’t make you work 8+ hour shifts with NO BREAK.
