Pros

Flexible Schedule good for extra chump change speedy points

Cons

It doesn't matter how much the customers like you or how well of a performance you do on the register, the speedy rewards will be your downfall. The management and corporate are just self loathing their success while the actual workers are being underpaid and victims of broken promises. The DM's are the grinches that stole the food off of your family's table. There are absolutely no benefits to this job as a part timer. Sorry no discounts because...you know,,,,marathon is always going to be greedy.

Pros

Managers get paid pretty well and the manager and cashier bonuses were good. Good managers to work with and we're always willing to help when needed.

Cons

I watched several managers get fired for unfair reasons. District managers were telling these managers what to do and then firing them later for it. I watched a lot of favoritism between district managers and managers and in between the q&a inspector and managers. I worked for Speedway for 16 years and I quit on my own because you don't have job security or feel like anyone cares above you. In all our district meetings they would tell us to call when we had questions, only to be made to feel stupid for calling. Managers have to do all painting inside and outside...and we were told if we couldn't get it done within our hours we were to come in on our own time and do it. Managers are on call 24/7 and you are expected to work all uncovered shifts even if you have already worked a double. Your personal life does not matter.
