Pros
Great people to work with, some flexibility in schedule however that comes with many schedueld night time and weekend releases/maintenances
Cons
No inter-departmental communication. Unrealistic expectations. They're moving forward so fast nobody is doing anything the "right" way, they just make it work and go ahead leaving poorly working code and maintenance or upkeep as an afterthought. Investment firm places puppets and everyone has to bow to them. Seems they are just pumping in a ton of money and rush it to market, make a ton of money on it, then dump it and walk away with millions. No thoughts of how to maintain the momentum and there is absolutely no long-term planning or thought going in to how the system will be serviced. Good, hard working employees are leaving left and right. They can't retain talent due to politics, management not listening to employees, and the investment firm hellbent on doing things their way. Too many "vice president of this" "vice president of that" making poor decisions because they don't understand technology or the other departments their poor choices impact. Too many cowboy developers or engineers doing things they shouldn't and abusing their access. No responsibility put on developers for faulty code, blaming anybody or anything else. Bad large investments and no solid technology roadmap. Crucial systems are seemingly changed at will. Terrible planning for company functions. Holiday parties are a complete joke.
