Pros

The support center is located in Georgetown, TX - which is a great commute. High standards and excellent Stylist training. I mean excellent! Sport Clips is a great place for Stylists to start a career in men's grooming with growth opportunities in the stores. I worked at the support center in Georgetown and it was a great part-time job while my children were young, The staff at the support center are some of the best people I've ever met and I'm thankful for what I learned from them. Camaraderie with support staff. The autonomy & trust to do my job.

Cons

Current CEO Having high standards is great, but I watched my co-workers at the support center get beat down by the executive leadership team and it brought out the worst in a lot of us. The line between excellence and 'nothing is ever good enough' was crossed too many times. High turnover: watching my amazing co-workers leave because of the toxic executive leadership. Executive leadership screaming and demoralizing employees in meetings. I should have left when it happened to me, but I stayed because of the flexible schedule and location of the office. Did I mention nothing is ever good enough?

None really. You get paid but will be overworked!

Cons

I have spent many years working for Sportclips. In the end it was a waste of my time. They don’t value you as a person. Your there to slam haircuts and force products on clients. They advertise the best pay but that is false. They feel the clients belong to them and when you have been over used and tired they kick you to the curb. Don’t work here. Go to your local barbershop or salon and build your clients yourself! In the end you have a clientele and you will be treated better by them in the long run. Sportclips will over work you and not care about you as a person. They force their employees to take surveys and pressure you to give a good score. Don’t believe any of them that say they “love their job.” They are too scared to tell the truth! Set yourself up for the future! Work for people that care about your work/life balance.

Cons

As if we don’t makes this company thousands of dollars and our pay checks aren’t enough to live off of, you have the audacity to steal (unauthorized) out of our pay checks money to fund “voluntary miscellaneous” items such as back bar. On top of that, we are bullied to sell products and provide rushed haircuts. Don’t waste your time or talent working here unless your just that desperate. There is NO job security here, no benefits and low hours. The only key questions they care about and are committed to is saving money. You are disposable!
