Pros
Great opportunities to learn in different areas of IT if interested. Other IT staffs are usually very easy to get along with. The University is very beautiful to walk around while on your break.
Cons
On occasion, you are ever so honored to being overworked and under appreciated for the work you do. I think this goes for just about every department, but this is only my opinion from what I saw while working there. Student workers also have it very hard, if not harder since they have to learn everything, including what staffs are ONLY supposed to do for faculties, staffs, and students and attend class. Communication doesn't seem to exist in the IT department. You will think that you have access to certain things, and try to login and you call to ask around and find out they switched admin access a long time ago without informing you. If you want something for the IT department, you're most likely NOT going to get it. Most likely because the budget got cut and you have to work with what you have. This leads to over dramatic faculties, staffs, and students.
