Pay, benifits, facilities, training, safety. It is a wonderful place to work.

Cons

Supervisors are disoganized and have special employee favorites. Different rules for special employees. They treat the staff as if they were children and they will have the last word no matter what. Very imature supervisors.

Pros

The nursing staff's skills are frequently tested. You will learn to think on your feet or run off screaming into the night. After working at St. Joe's Paterson ED you will be able to work anywhere. Management is fair. Supportive co-workers. Job security. Competitive pay.

Cons

Hectic and sometimes dangerously short staffed. But I think this is typical in any hospital setting but more serious in this case since a lot of the patient are critically ill.
