Fantastic Company

Pros

Terrific company with a heavy emphasis on promoting from within. If you are intelligent and motivated, you will excel here. All employees are given equity. Most departments have a fantastic work/life balance; extremely rare in the software industry. Note that most negative reviews are from our award-winning Customer Care team, which has high standards that lead to satisfied customers and grade-A employees (who are almost inevitably promoted), but dissatisfied grade-C employees (who are almost inevitably pushed out).

Cons

Relatively ancient company in the tech sector; prepare to juggle legacy systems if you're on the tech side. However, company is doing a good job of modernizing process (switched to agile/scrum methodology over a year ago) and legacy systems are being overhauled.

Depending on Position, employment okay

Pros

They want you to enjoy coming to work, even if your job is to be yelled at by customers. They provide snacks, drinks and will often have company-sponsored meals, parties and mixers.

Cons

If you're on the "CS" team, be prepared to be constantly berated and yelled at by customers, because as part of the "escalation" team, it's your job to be composed while someone is telling you that you've stolen from them. Also, they seem to tout that if you start at the bottom that you'll be able to move up the ladder, but that is not common. It seems to often be based on a popularity contest, despite qualifications, and they like to reward brown-nosers.

Pros

Free dress - Come as your are (within reason) Laid back atmosphere - No sweat as long as you get the job done Autonomy - As long as you get the job done you can pretty much steer your own ship. Sink or Swim - If you are a self starter & eager to learn, you'll be swimming like a fish :)

Cons

Pay - In some cases the pay doesn't match the job duties.
